Pet First Aid Kits
The importance of a good Pet First Aid is to stabilize your pet and then seek veterinary care immediately. A good First Aid Kit provides all the tools you will need for the little or big emergency quickly. You can purchase a Pet First Aid Kit, but you will need to add some very important items. They generally cost between $20 and $40. Some new larger, more expensive Kits include items for Emergency Pet Preparedness.
First - Add a copy of your pet’s Medical Records, including shot records to your Kit.
Ask your Vet for a copy.
Second - Add your Vet’s phone number and the ASPCA Poison Control phone number. 888-426-4435 www.aspca.org Write them on the front of the First Aid booklet that comes with every Pet First Aid Kit.

Combined Kit - I keep a First Aid Kit in every car. Since I travel with a dog regularly, I expanded the people Kit to include dogs. Most items work for both people and dogs. I have only used the Cold Compress on a dog once, but I have used it on kids numerous times. If you often travel with you pet (even around town), you need a Pet First Aid Kit in your car.
