Humane Society Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic - Opened July 2006
The Humane Society is now offering Low Cost Spay/Neuter services to the public for dogs and cats. The Shelter Veterinarian is performing the surgeries in the John Oliver Spay/Neuter Clinic at the Shelter one day every week. Due to limitations on animal recovery space, the Humane Society previously had offered only Cat Spay/Neuter services to the public. The Shelter Director, Sharon Felkins, designed a new dog recovery room from an adjacent Cat Condo Room and a Cat Condo was added to the Shelter Lobby. Much of the construction work was performed by Shelter Staff.
Demand for the services is higher than expected.
