Councilmember, Jere Melo will draft a letter to State Parks expressing City Council’s support. Joyce Baker, the founder of the Mobile Pet Adoption gave an enthusiastic speech about the benefits of the Headlands location and the need for the Mobile Pet Adoption. This was, followed by Marilyn Murphy, the State Parks Regional Superintendent, who discussed the park’s mission, the “cultural sensitive” site, sharing with all visitors and “the view’. Sharon Felkins spoke and brought passion to the room. “It saves lives.” Ray Arnold summed up with a great story about our Mobile Pet Adoption, when he was a visitor to our Coast. The Council asked questions and was very supportive. Jere Melo, who has been participating in the Animal Control Community Meetings helped bring this to the Council.
